Thoughts on Lord Shiva.

I came across an  book, in that book the author puts it forward in a story line, shiva was a one who lived and achieved greatness around 1100BC, the basic idea that the author has here  is wrong, Shivam means "one which cannot be explained by words or grasped by mind", that is the reason shaivates call, "sarvam sivamayam" - everything is shiva, there are boundries to physical world but not the space, it is vast and endless, shiva is everything, he is the upholder of justice, one who is pure, one who is not bound by any maya or illusion. shiva, is everything, no mortal mind can ever grasp him completely, nor put him into limits, he upholds justice, he takes care of all of us, without his grace, there is nothing. nothing has ever existed that is not shiva, nor will ever exist, we are here in this world, and reading this very line because of his grace, he is not bound by religion, nor by any divisions that mortals have created, he is in the air we breath, in the food we eat, in the fecus we excrete, in the thoughts we think, nothing can ever disgrace him, nothing is and ever will be as pure as shiva, he is the life that exists everywhere, he is the one with whom we all shall dissolve, salvation is when we surrender on to him and realize that we need nothing else in this world or anywhere else other than shiva, salvation is when we realize that everying is given by the great lord shiva, who took nanju - poison  so that we mere mortals can survive, he is the truth, he is the one who gives justice to people, shiva is the one who upholds dharma and protects good men even in the darkest times, there is nothing superior to shiva, still, he lives with ash all over his body, naked, and with no ornaments, he rules the whole world yet without a crown, he is not worshiped in form, because you cannot give form to the absolute, you cannot give form to truth, you cannot give form to justice, or to energy. shiva is formless, he manifests in everything he is not mortal or immortal, he is above all that, yet he listens to our prayers, people like us who are caught in maya of the world.

Om namashivaya, you are the one who feeds me the thoughts, i am not the one who wins or loses, i am just a slave of yours, there is nothing that this world can provide me which is as great as you, I surrender onto your feet, i am just your slave, just your slave, a sivanadiyar.
